SSE Airtricity, Northern Ireland’s leading provider of renewable energy, worked with the Odyssey Trust to develop a solar photo-voltaic array on the roof of the Odyssey Complex, home to The SSE Arena, Belfast.
The 1,400-panel array covers an area of more than 2,300 sq. m. Completed in March, the 420 kilowatt peak (kWp) development generates enough renewable energy from the sun to offset roughly 200 tonnes of harmful carbon emissions annually.
